Key Features of the Central Lonsdale BIA Proposal

CLBIA is a registered non-profit Society under the BC Societies Act.

The Central Lonsdale BIA will support and enhance the City's public space improvements while ensuring local businesses have a voice.

CLBIA will focus on beautification, business support, public safety, marketing, events, and community building.

CLBIA will be funded through a special property levy on commercial buildings within the proposed district boundaries. This will ensure adequate resources to make a serious impact.

The Central Lonsdale BIA will build a visible identity for the community through street-side branding, marketing, and social media engagement.

CLBIA will work with the City of North Vancouver, Business Link Community Policing Programs and work with local BIAs to enhance programs and community benefits.

CLBIA will initiate murals and green projects to enhance the visual appeal of the Lonsdale corridor.

CLBIA’s board of directors, comprised of local business and property owners, will keep members informed and engaged.

Enhanced walkability and aesthetics through murals, greenery, and lighting upgrades.

Dedicated safety liaison program, regular cleaning, graffiti removal.

Seasonal Activations such as Easter, Halloween, Christmas, Nowruz and/or other multi-cultural programs, Canada Day, public art walks and side walk sales.

Digital campaigns, business directory, and branded tools to raise the community’s profile and support business visibility.

Represent members in civic discussions, host workshops, and conduct regular business roundtables.

Promote green infrastructure and energy efficiency programs.

Lead a transformative public mural program to beautify public spaces, reflect our community’s identity, and promote local artists.
